Programme Objectives
The BSc Engineering and Management, designed jointly with Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, is a bachelor's degree programme completely taught in English with an engineering focus and economics components, which aims at both international and German prospective students.
The engineering courses take place in Merseburg, where language and cultural competences are also acquired. The economics modules of the programme are provided at Halle University.
The two universities in central Germany, Halle and Merseburg, are only a few kilometres apart and are connected by good train connections (10-minute journey).
Information on the degree programme, especially on the study content, can be found online at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the BSc Engineering and Management are engineers with business qualifications and intercultural competences. They understand and analyse international markets, but also master technical and logistical processes in production facilities. Due to the fact that the programme is studied in English, graduates are able to establish cross-border business relationships and effectively participate in international activities.
Application
A recognised direct university entrance qualification (German: Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) or a recognised advanced technical college entrance qualification (German: Fachhochschulreife) in Germany is a prerequisite for the admission to the study programme.
Additionally, all applicants must provide proof of their proficiency in English at the B2 level.
Proof of practical experience (vocational training, job, internships, voluntary service, etc.) is not mandatory, but is a bonus in the selection process.
You can find more detailed information on the programme website of our cooperation partner - because the application and admission procedure takes place entirely at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences.
The application deadline (preclusive term) is 15 July of the year of application.
